When Anita and I travel by bike we camp most nights and cook or prepare most of our own food. It’s only reasonable to carry 36 to 48 hours of food at one time so trips to a grocery store are an every other day occurrence. Except we have to be ready for Sundays when most stores are closed and national holidays like May 1st for Labor Day and May 8th, Victory over Germany day. But then there are the surprise days like May 9th, what is May 9th and why is most everything closed again today . . . . Ascension Day. 40 days after Easter is May 9th. Jesus disappeared in front of the disciples and grocery stores are closed in France. So when everything is closed except the store at the campground and they have canned tuna and some sort of pasta noodles, dinner is tuna nunu. Except the tuna is canned with tomatoes. When in Rome . . . .
What a fabulous adventure you two are having!!! So happy for you!
